There’s something so magical about a maternity session on the beach at sunset, especially when it includes a sweet family celebrating the beauty of their growing little one. This evening with Brooke and Gaby and their adorable blonde baby girl was nothing short of a dream come true.

Like many Miami summer evenings, we started this session with a little bit of unpredictability—rain. Just as we made our way down to the sand, the clouds rolled in and we had to retreat back to the car. For about 15 minutes, we waited, hoping the skies would clear. And just when it seemed like our plans might wash away, the rain stopped, the skies opened up, and the most magical light poured onto the beach.

That’s the thing I love most about photographing in Miami—the weather always keeps us on our toes, and sometimes those unexpected pauses create the most unforgettable moments. When we finally stepped back out, the sand was cool, the air was fresh, and the ocean sparkled as if it had been waiting just for us.

Brooke looked absolutely radiant as she held her bump, framed by the soft glow of sunset. The connection between her and dad was so beautiful to witness—they laughed, embraced, and truly soaked in the moment together. Their little girl, with her sweet blonde curls, ran in and out of the frame, giggling as the waves chased her toes. She was the perfect burst of joy and energy, reminding us all why these sessions are so special: capturing love, legacy, and the fleeting moments of family life before it all changes again.

As the sun dipped lower, a soft breeze rolled in—such a gift in the middle of Miami’s summer heat. It was the perfect ending to a session that began with uncertainty but turned into something magical.

This maternity session was a reminder that sometimes the best memories are made when things don’t go according to plan. I’ll always remember the sunset glow, the laughter, and the love this family radiated on that beach.
