Bringing a Little New England Charm to Miami: Behind Our Fall Mini Sessions

Some places just stay with you long after you've returned home. For me, one of those places was New England in the fall.

A while back, I had the opportunity to experience the beauty and charm of the Boston area during autumn, and I absolutely fell in love with it. The historic brownstones, warm brick architecture, beautiful seasonal colors, and that unmistakable New England charm left quite an impression on me.

I've carried a little piece of that inspiration with me ever since, and this year, I finally found the perfect way to bring it to life.

After taking a few years off from offering fall mini sessions, I knew I wanted this year's setup to feel different. I wasn't just looking to create another fall backdrop. I wanted to recreate a feeling — one inspired by those beautiful New England autumn days, but right here in Miami.

And so, our little brownstone-inspired fall setting came to life!

A Little Pumpkin Spice

Every detail was thoughtfully put together to make the experience feel special from the moment families arrived.

We welcomed everyone with pumpkin spice lattes (because what is fall without a little pumpkin spice?), played some of our favorite fall music in the background, and brought together all the little details that made the day feel like a cozy autumn afternoon. It was so much fun watching the vision come together and seeing families step into the setting for their portraits.

The Finishing Touches: Getting Everyone Photo-Ready

One of my favorite parts of preparing for these sessions was putting together outfit inspiration mood boards for our families.

Choosing outfits for family photos can sometimes feel overwhelming, so I wanted to give everyone a little inspiration ahead of time. From warm neutrals and earthy tones to beautiful textures and complementary colors, the goal was to help each family find a look that felt like them while fitting beautifully into the fall setting.

And I have to say, seeing everyone's outfits come together against the brownstone backdrop was so rewarding!

Every Family, A Different Story

Throughout the day, we welcomed families with children of different ages, personalities, and stages of life. Each session brought something different, and that's one of the things I love most about family photography.

Some moments were full of laughter and playful energy, while others were a little sweeter and more sentimental. No two families are the same, and I love that each gallery reflects the people who make that family special.

These are the moments I hope families will look back on years from now — not just remembering what everyone wore or how beautiful the setting was, but remembering this little season of life together.

A Little Piece of Fall to Take Home

Bringing back fall mini sessions after a few years away made this experience especially meaningful to me. What started as inspiration from a place I fell in love with eventually became a little autumn escape right here in Miami.

I'm so grateful to every family who joined us and allowed me to capture a little piece of their story. Seeing an idea that lived in my imagination come to life, and watching so many families enjoy it, made all the planning worthwhile.

Until next fall!
