Studio Family Session for MJ’s 2nd Birthday | Miami Family Photographer


There’s something extra special about watching a little one grow year after year and getting to photograph them along the way is truly an honor. MJ came to the studio to celebrate his second birthday, and this milestone session was full of joy, love, and plenty of Cars magic!

A Studio Family Session Full of Heart (and Lightning McQueen!)


MJ is officially TWO, and his love for Cars—especially Lightning McQueen and Mater—is going strong. Naturally, we brought his favorite characters into the session, and he lit up the moment he saw them. Incorporating your toddler’s current obsessions is one of the best ways to keep them engaged and excited during a session, and MJ was all smiles the whole time.

We Learned Our Lesson: No More Summer Park Sessions


Last year, we celebrated MJ’s first birthday with a session at a park—and let’s just say, Miami summer heat is no joke. Between the humidity and the mosquitos, it was a beautiful session but definitely a sweaty one. This year, we beat the heat by staying indoors, and I know Dad was especially thrilled not to be dripping sweat while wrangling a toddler. The studio gave us the perfect climate-controlled space to have fun, stay comfortable, and still capture those timeless moments.

Peek-A-Boo with the Curtains? Always a Win.


Let’s be honest: toddlers run the show at family photo sessions. But that’s part of the fun! One of my go-to tricks in the studio is playing peek-a-boo with the curtains. It never fails—and MJ was no exception. The moment we started playing, he couldn’t stop giggling, and we captured some truly joyful, authentic moments.

A Beautiful Family I’m Lucky to See Again

It was such a joy to see MJ’s parents again for the second year in a row. Watching families grow and change—and getting to be a small part of documenting those changes—is one of the greatest joys of being a Miami family photographer. Mom and dad were as radiant as ever, and their love for MJ was so evident throughout the session.


Celebrating Two Years of Breastfeeding

We ended the session with something incredibly meaningful: nursing photos to commemorate two years of breastfeeding. It’s such a powerful milestone in motherhood and one that deserves to be documented and celebrated. The quiet, emotional bond between mom and MJ in those final photos brought the entire session full circle.
