If you’re a dog mom who’s about to become a human mom, you know that your fur baby is already an important part of the family. So, when we planned this dreamy maternity session at Matheson Hammocks Park, there was no question that their pup had to be included. And let me tell you—this dog did NOT come to play. He came to pose, strut, and steal the entire show.
The Perfect Sunrise at Matheson Hammocks Park
We started the session at the beach, where the sunrise put on a jaw-dropping display. The sky was painted in a golden yellow light, the water was calm, and everything felt peaceful—the perfect setting for a maternity session. Our gorgeous mom-to-be looked radiant, glowing in the morning light. But as soon as her pup stepped in front of the camera? Game over. Instant supermodel.
One of the best things about Matheson Hammocks Park is that you don’t have to choose between a beach setting and a lush park vibe—you get both! After soaking up the sunrise, we moved to the greenery, where the soft morning light created the dreamiest glow. Our mom-to-be snuggled her pup, twirled in the golden light, and shared the sweetest moments with her partner.
If your pup has been your first baby, they absolutely deserve a spot in your maternity photos. They’ve been there through the morning sickness, the cravings, and the endless belly rubs (both yours and theirs). Plus, having them there adds a fun, candid element—because let’s be real, dogs always keep things interesting!
